The world blurs into a streak of emerald green as cool, damp mountain air rushes past. High up at 2,728 feet, the elevation is thin, but there is no time to ponder the altitude—only time to focus. Gloved hands white-knuckle the handlebars, feeling every tiny vibration of the tires biting into the damp asphalt.
Ahead, the narrow road carves through a dense wall of trees, its twists and turns charted like a jagged heartbeat on the GPS route, vanishing into the soft haze. Every curve demands razor-sharp precision; one wrong line could send the bike sliding into the verge.
Eyes stay locked on the vanishing point of the road as the digital readout climbs steadily, locking in at an absolute rush of 60 km/h. That 60 kph moment! The wind roars in the ears, the heart hammers against the ribs, and for a few wild seconds, nothing else in the world exists except pure, unfiltered velocity.
